Cheetah-Acinonyx jubatus

Cheetah is one of the endangered species around many parts of the world and are harmed by palm oil. Cheetah’s habitat are being destroyed, by palm oil and their population loss caused them to be racing extinction. There were 100,000 cheetahs a century ago, but throughout the years there are fewer than 10,000 cheetahs that have been left in the wild.

We can help the Cheetahs to not become extinct by help raising money, stop buying products that have palm oil in them and we use some of those products in our daily lives for example: soap, shampoo, detergent, diesel, packaged bread, margarine, pizza dough, instant noodles, cookies, ice cream and even chocolate! Can you believe that? The cheetahs and other animals are becoming more less because of what we use for our every day lives.

Jam Recipe

Watermelon and Strawberry Jam

Preparation time: 10 minutes plus steeping overnight

Cooking time: 1 hour 20 minutes

300g watermelon

200g strawberries, calyx removed and sliced in half

350g white sugar

Juice, seeds and zest of 2 lemons

½ teaspoon Rosewater

METHOD

1. Sterilize jars
2. Chop watermelon and strawberries.
3. Place the watermelon,lemon juice, sugar and strawberries in a large saucepan and cook over high heat. Let it boil.
4. Tie zest and seeds in muslin and place in fruit mixture.
5. Lower heat and simmer for 35-45 minutes or until jam is set.
6. Add rose water.
7. Ladle into jars and label.

True worship is to work for justice and care for the poor and oppressed.	Leviticus 19:15- You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor.
Common good	the benefits or interests of all	Everyone needs to be included in making decisions and all people are equal not matter who they are	1 Corinthians 12:7- To each given manifestation of the spirit for the common good.
Subsidiarity	When we help people making sure we ask and include them in decisions we make.	Communicating with others are we offer to help them	Deuteronomy 7:11- Therefore, take care to follow the commands, decrees and laws I give you today.
Stewardship	Respecting and caring for God’s creation	Looking after the environment	Matthew 6:24- No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
Participation	the act of participating	Making sure that we help those people who may find participating difficult. Making sure that we participate.	1 Thessalonians 4:11- And to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands as we intructed you.

Lucy...was the first to find what lies within the secrets of the wardrobe in the Professor’s mysterious old house.  At first, her siblings don’t believe her that she visited a land called Narnia. Soon her brothers and sister step through the magical wardrobe themselves.

In the other side of the wardrobe they found a country buried under the evil enchantment  of the white witch. Can Lucy and her siblings stop the frightening witch?
